Our History

Worcester Warriors Supporters' Trust was set up by a small group of Warriors fans in April 2023 in response to the lack of a coherent voice speaking up for supporters whilst the rugby club was in administration. It took around six months of logistics before we were able to start taking members in November 2023. We are a Community Benefit Society working for the benefit of the rugby community of Worcestershire and its surrounds.

WWST is now recognised as the official supporter group of Worcester Warriors Rugby Club

Key Achievements so far:

  • We have managed to keep the plight of Warriors in the public domain with numerous mentions in national and local media including on the Sky Sports, City AM and BBC Rugby websites, BBC Midlands Today, BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester, Free Radio H&W, Greatest Hits Radio H&W, The Guardian, The Times, Worcester News and The Rugby Paper.

  • We have kept our members and all Warriors supporters updated regarding the situation at Sixways through our website, blog and social media channels.

  • We successfully exposed the Atlas Consortium for its lack of financial backing or credible plan to return Warriors to Sixways.

  • Our highly publicised resistance to the prospect of Wasps playing at Sixways helped to ensure that this did not come to pass.

  • Our nomination of Sixways Stadium as an Asset of Community Value helped to make the Atlas plans unattractive to investors.

  • Our complaint to the Insolvency Practitioners Association regarding the conduct of Begbies-Traynor enabled a thorough investigation into their handling of the administration process.

  • Since Junction 6 Limited took control of the running of Sixways Stadium we have stayed in regular contact with the new owners, providing updates to supporters when appropriate. We have built on our relationship with the club and have helped to promote the stadium business.

  • We have organised multiple trips to local rugby matches for our members and other Warriors supporters. The trust has also hosted a Rugby quiz night, an auction of rugby memorabilia and run activities at the Worcester Festival and Pershore Rugby Sevens.

  • WWST has had a stand at several local events including the Worcester Food Festival, the WCA Volunteer Expo and the Sterling Worcester Expo at Sixways and in Chapel Walk shopping centre

  • WWST has helped several local charities financially including the Warriors Foundation and the MND Association.
